So far it's worked perfectly! It was much easier to install than some dishwashers I've installed. It's quiet and gets all the dishes clean without any sort of pre-washing.

Love Kitchenaid!

This is not the first Kitchenaid dishwasher that I have had, but I have learned over the years of owing different brands that Kitchenaid never disappoints. I do not like the new feature that all manufacturers say is "energy efficient" and they run for hours! However, this model has an alternate "1 hour" wash that I use all the time and the dishes come out sparkling clean.

Seems like every 18 years I get a new Kitchenaid Dishwasher!

We just bought our 3rd Kitchenaid dishwasher, and I absolutely love it, just like my past 2 Kitchenaids! The first one died after 18 years of constant use with our growing family, the second one was still operational, but hey, we had it 18 years just like the first one, and we saw a great deal on a new one, so we got it, and we love advanced features like its quietness, more room for larger items, stainless interior, etc. Just LOVE it!!

I bought this a month ago. Great wash, as long as rinse aid is used. Only complaint is the control panel on top of the door, as its hard to get at under my counter top overhang. And the control panel has a grove that gets filled with crumbs.

So glad I bought this dishwasher!

This dishwasher was one of the only ones that fit my oversized dinner plates on the bottom rack as well as my tall drink glasses on the top rack at the same time. (Yes, I took some of my dishes into the store to check it out and am so glad I did!) With so many adjustable rows of tines, etc, this model offers so much flexibility for holding dishes/pans/casseroles/etc. My favorite thing about this model is the "Heat Dry" option. Finally, my dishes come out warm and dry again -- even the plastic ones!

Good cleaning, control buttons need to be re-deisgned

The dishwasher cleans well, and I like the way I can stack the dishes. But I am frustrated with the sensitivity of the push-button controls on the top of the door. I am constantly activating them by accident when opening, closing or loading the dishwasher, and have to push the cancel button. My mother bought a similar model with the buttons on the front of the door, and she accidentally activates them when leaning against the door. In addition, the location of the side vent on the door means hot air/steam is venting onto my wood cabinets, which over time will create an issue with the wood.

We bought the KitchenAide 24-inch, 4-cycle/6-option dishwasher, Architect Series II to replace a similar dishwasher that was installed in 2006. The previous KitchenAide was a workhorse (we use it once if not twice per day in our family), yet we needed to replace it. We are so glad we did. The new KitchenAide's features are the best ever, and it was definitely an investment that has paid for itself in just four months. The enhanced top- and bottom-rack and silverware designs are much more functional, and the spacious top-rack height enables all our tall, long-stem wine glasses to be cleaned without any spots.

Good BUT

Our last kitchen aid dishwasher lasted 20 years, it was still working when we replaced it. The inside was very corroded though, but it was great, never broke down ever in 20 years. So that's why we got another kitchen aid. But I do have a complaint already and that is the bowls don't always get clean on the top rack, no matter how I place them and I have read the manual to make sure I was doing it correctly. Most if the time I have at least a couple that need rewashing. What can I do? The other thing is it's too easy to hit the control buttons when door is open. Annoying
