Don't lean against control panel

I have had this dishwasher for two months. It does a good job washing dishes. The problem is with the front controls. It you so much as lean against it the dishwasher starts running and it will run a full cycle. You can't just cancel it because the tub won't empty. Very frustrating. I would never buy another dishwasher with front controls. Would toss this one out if I could afford to buy another after only owning it for two months.

We have had this dishwasher for close to a year and overall appears to work well but the smell! I have done so much research to they to find our why it smells so badly between washes. I have never had a dishwasher do this. Not sure if it is because it is stainless steel or another reason. I read through the manual and I can't find out how to clean the filter or even if there is a filter. Also, the top rack is not very user friendly. The right side will alow for tall glasses but not the middle or left side.

Sturdy Work Horse for Our Family

We had a top of the line unit from another maker that stopped working six months after the warranty expired. Cost to repair was nearly the price of another dishwasher. A new unit wasn't in the budget so we washed dishes by hand for nearly two years. Needless to say, our children were over the moon when we selected this Maytag, purchased at our local Home Depot. Sadly disappointing quality only lasted 18 months

Bought this last spring and we did love it. Cleaned great. But after 18 months the wash motor blew out and is not covered under the 10 year warranty. What a sham! When you pay $700 for an appliance it should last 10 years.

Quiet long run time

This is a pretty good dishwasher. We've had it for a while now. It is fairly quiet. The run cycles are long. Dishes come out clean. The model has a Whirlpool components. We had one problem where the wash pump stopped, so I tore the whole thing apart. The pump was fine, the circuit board was fine. Come to find out it was a loose wire in the plug. Put it all back together, worked fine afterwards.

Bought it from Lowe's to replace a GE that didnt work. Maytag. Made in America. 10 year warranty . Those were key reasons. Got it home. It was easy to install and works beautifully. My recommendations are to visit hardware store BEFORE you attempt to install. It was there in the instructions BUT wasn't bolded or blazing red so I didn't see it. It took me 2 trips to hardware store. After that it was easy!!!

Does not clean well

We've been using this dishwasher for about 6 months. It does not clean well whether we pre-rinse or not or even pre-clean lightly with a brush and use the longest settings. Running the hot water tap first to increase the dishwasher temperature makes little difference. It is very quiet, but even the shortest cycles are long. The lower shelf design holds a lot of flat items, but not much else. I did a lot of research, but wish I'd bought another model or even manufacturer. Contemplating returning under my credit card warranty. I hate the waste to society and the environment.

My dishes are Clean!

Our previous dishwasher wasn't getting our dishes clean at all. We were having to run the dishwasher twice. We have hard water so we have to rinse before we put in. We bought the medium grade Maytag because that's what we could afford. So we expected medium noise. We are thrilled at how quiet it is. And our dishes are clean on 1 wash! Love it. We have had it for 8 months and this was the best and smartest decision we could have made.

I bought this dishwasher a year ago , it doesn't wash properly anymore. The spray arms gets clogged , especially the upper rack doesn't even wash in-spite of running the dishwasher in the highest settings (power wash) . I replaced the spray arms and the whole assembly a month ago , it again stopped washing properly after a month. The poor design does not filter the small food particles (like tomato seed ) getting into the spray arms . Once the spray arms gets clogged it never cleans properly after that. The quality of the plastic materials which holds the upper rack is poor, it corroded after one year. Using cascade cleaning liquid . I never had issues like these with my previous whirlpool brand

I bought this dishwasher 2 months ago because the one I had inherited with my house didn't clean my dishes.... I washed one load 4 times and they still were not 100% clean. I bought this one and even on a quick wash my dishes are sparkling. The machine is so quiet that you hardly know it is going and cannot hear it in the basement right below it. The last one (not Maytag) was so loud you heard it everywhere! I have a 3yr old who loves to he in the kitchen and I was worried about fingerprints on stainless steel but this one leaves no fingerprints! Love love LOVE this machine! I bought this dishwasher 2-17 From ABC warehouse and staring installed on 2-18 finished on 2-19. it was leaking. We found that the drain tube attached to the dishwasher was split. After spending an hour at least on the phone and several e-mails to the warranty department over 3 days We finally got the part we think figured out. I asked for a tracking number and was told they could not provide one. I was also told that it would be 5-7 days til we got the part. Our local Maytag store said they could have had it in 1 day, of course at a charge. I live 40 minutes from Benton Harbor and would have gladly picked it up. I sure hope the Dishwasher works better than the service we have received so far. Very disappointed so far

Love after minor flawed part repaired

I bought this several months ago selecting it because it appeared to have less plastic and more metal parts. We couldn't install it until recently due to delayed building issues. Looks great! The first time we used it it was wonderful. The second time water was everywhere! Apparently there was a cheap hose gasket that broke. We couldn't figure out the problem at first but when my husband did and replaced the gasket with a better quality one, the dishwasher has worked perfectly ever since. About 2 months every other day or more use. The dishwasher is fairly quiet and the dishes are very clean. I would recommend but warn that the gasket may need to be replaced first.

It is so quiet you can't hear that is running. Cleans dishes and silverware excellent. It's cycles seem long 3 hours but we run at night so it isn't a problem. Love my maytag!

I had no idea how clean dishes could get until we bought this. I used to think it was the detergent we were using, it was the dishwasher! The dishes come out so clean and it also dries them very well. It is also very quiet! My husband had absolutely no problem installing it. We were also excited it came with a 10 year motor warranty. My previous dishwasher was beyond repair. Was very fortunate to find this stainless steel larger sized Maytag dishwasher on sale. In comparison it was much easier to install I honestly have had to walk by the machine and put my ear down just to make sure that it is running! LOL it is so quiet!!
