DO NOT trust the lock on this unit if your have children. I spoke with Matag and they could care less about the issue. A small child with little effort would be able to push up on the handle of the locked freezer and break the brittle plastic latch, which keeps the freezer in the key locked position. It took so very little effort for myself to snap this latch. Again, that of a toddler or small child. The unit was one day old when this happened. We had just purchased the unit brand new from a local hardware store. With all chest freezers, the reason the door is hard to open is that there is a partial vacuum inside the freezer, and the air pressure outside the freezer is holding the door closed. I did not use any excessive force knowing the above related to the normal vacuum inside a chest freezer. I feel this product should be recalled and is a serious child safety hazard.

Not as advertised in online ad at Home Depot!

I bought for size! This unit was supposed to be 30+" deep, not 27! It also does not have a temp warning light! The cheaper Hot Point I got - and returned due to size not being as advertised - and my old Kenmore both had these. The user guide talks about this light, and a temp alarm, yet says on some models?! What I got has neither!! So now I have to go out and buy a freezer thermometer! At least the width was as advertised IN A REVIEW - not your specs - at 46", not 47". That helped make sure I had proper side clearance. CHANGE your online ads and be truthful!! Put in both sizes so customer can choose which model they want!! We have boxes of things that must be frozen that needed that 30"! I NEVER had trouble with any of my KENMORE appliances, and am so sorry our store closed.

Works good, fast to deliver and gets very cold when set to mid dial 4. Did make some vibration noises when running until I moved the compressor retaining clips so they didn't touch the brackets. They were buzzing against the metal. Nothing fancy, but it's a freezer, fewer things to go wrong.

Perfect downsize!

This is the perfect model for my wife and I who are now empty nesters and don't need the large capacity chest freezer we had. This 15 Cu ft model is just the right size for our downsized life!

It's nice to have a chest type and in the house, too, instead of outside in the tool shed. A little running light would be a nice feature.
