I got this new refrigerator two weeks ago and it continues to amaze me.....the room and the shelf set up works PERFECTLY for my Bed & Breakfast. I have always LOVED Whirlpool products and am so glad this is the model I chose!!!

We love the size and styling of this refrigerator, but ours seems to be a lemon. We had it installed, brand new, on 9/17/19. We waited patiently for it to cool and to create ice (we had read that ice is slow in this one, and that is true).
After about a day the freezer was working great. In fact, it seemed to be over-cooling, as frost was developing inside it, which seemed odd. More concerning, however, was the refrigerator portion. It just didn't seem as cold as it should be...certainly not the 35 degrees that I had asked it to cool down to.
We waited several days, thinking it was just our imagination, but sure enough, a thermometer we placed inside confirmed that it's only cooling to about 55 degrees. We contacted Whirlpool service, since it's obviously under warranty being less than a week old, and they arranged for a service tech to come out several days later.
The service tech was friendly, but the best answer he could provide was that the rubber gasket around the freezer door wasn't working properly, allowing outside air to seep into the freezer portion, thus causing the frost. His suggestion was to wait another week to see if the problem fixed itself.
I found that solution rather ludicrous after having the new product failing for 10 straight days and our already having to toss most everything from the refrigerator for safety reasons. I waited a day and called back. After a near 40-minute wait on hold, the person I talked to seemed disinterested in my problem and just scheduled another service call in five more days, which will make more than two weeks since we received the faulty fridge.
This is our first whirlpool appliance, and I can't say I can imagine being any more disappointed that I already am. I guess we'll wait to see what the two week mark brings when the tech comes back out.

After extensive research, we chose this refrigerator. It has all the features we need. We have only had it for two weeks and we are so far pleased. One complaint, the ice maker is quite loud!

This was a replacement frig for a similar Kitchen Aid. I like the ice maker better and the size of the cubes as well. (smaller) The glass shelves are not as substantial, but if I had not had the Kitchen Aid I wouldn't know the difference. So far it is working well.

My wife and I have had our refrigerator for two weeks and we are happy with it. We like the roominess of the refrigerator without taking up lots of floor space. The Ice Maker is in the door so it leaves more useable space in the freezer. The refrigerator is well laid out. My wife likes the butter dish on the door.

The freshness filter and water filter are easily accessible and even easier to replace. Ample food storage in both the freezer and refrigerator. The ice and water dispenser is the perfect height for our independent 4.5 year old to get her own water as needed.

Side by side refrigerators use to be the fanciest items back in the day. now they are normal. I have had side by side refrigerators in past rental homes and never had this problem, but this fridge does not have enough room i needed to buy a second fridge. first off, i have never had this problem with a water dispensing fridge before where the spout is in front of where the ice is dispensed therefore leading to alot of water being spilt because if you use the smaller mouthed cups it may miss it when pushing the dispenser button. The ice dispenser shoots out the ice okay but when in crushed choice it spits out a few pieces of ice and does not really crush. The freezer side does not really stay as cool as a top load or lower load freezer, my ice cream melted in the car put it in the freezer and was semi soft the next day never was frozen and the freezer isnt even that full. Like i said before we had to get second fridge and freezer to put in such things as frozen pizza boxes and such. but that isnt my main issue its the lighting on the door, the place ment of the dispenser, and the fact that the fridge nor the freezer really seem that strong in power to keep things cool. the door opens a little and things in the drawers get moldy fast and so forth. Sadly it was not my choice it came with our new built house.

This was offered to us as a replacement through total protect ins. I was hesitant at first in taking it but have to say I'm extremely happy with it. I love the side by side, and it's very spacious & offers lots of organizing features. I also love the 2 door shelves that are big enough to hold my large grape juice.

I bought this refrigerator a little over a month ago and it is perfect! It has so much room to store all of our food/drinks, the ice maker has a fast speed and normal speed so if you are filling up a lot of drinks with ice at one given time, it makes it a lot more efficient. Once plugged in, it took no time at all to get to temperature. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends, my brother actually bought the same one after he saw mine.

I like this side by side refrigerator inside and out if you can stand the constant high pitched whine from the fan that runs almost constantly. When I open the front door to my home, I can hear it immediately and the kitchen is in the back of the house. This I was told was "normal". Maybe normal for the hard of hearing to live with. Most annoying and unacceptable for me. My white noise machine doesn't even block it out!!! This new refrigerator is less than 1 month old.

Fridge is narrow and hard to reach the back and you can definitely hear it when it cycles on. Shelve heights are very limited and finding it hard to pack. otherwise very nice.

I love everything about my side by side except the ice maker. It doesn't produce fast enough and doesn't have a very large ice storage compartment. I have to buy at least one bag of ice every week because it can't keep up. Only 4 people in my home. I wish I had kept my old Whirlpool side by side with large ice maker and storage. Also, I would not recommend the smooth black finish. My old one had a textured black finish it did not show fingerprints and scuffs.
